You have read about QHHT. You have thought about it, maybe for weeks, maybe longer. And now you are considering actually booking a session. The question is no longer “what is it” but “what will it be like for me, specifically, on that day?” This is what I want to walk you through.

My practice is in Laren, a quiet town in the Het Gooi region, about thirty minutes from Amsterdam by car or train. Most clients who come here tell me that leaving the city behind is already part of the experience. Something shifts on the way here. The pace slows. The mind begins to settle before the session even starts.

  1. A QHHT session is a full day experience, typically lasting 4 to 6 hours.
  2. No prior experience with meditation or hypnosis is needed.
  3. The session includes a personal conversation, deep relaxation, and a complete recording.
  4. Laren’s calm setting near Amsterdam helps clients arrive in a more open state.
  5. Preparation starts before the day itself, with simple steps you can take at home.

Before You Arrive

In the days before your session, I recommend writing down 10 to 15 questions you would like to explore. These can be about anything: relationships, purpose, recurring patterns, physical sensations with no clear cause, or questions about who you are at a deeper level. There is no wrong question. The subconscious has a way of addressing what matters most, even if it was not on your list.

Something I have noticed over many sessions is that clients who spend a few evenings with their questions, rather than rushing them the night before, tend to arrive with a different kind of clarity. The act of writing the questions is already part of the process. It signals to the subconscious that you are ready to listen.

I also suggest practicing a short visualization meditation before sleep or right after waking up in the days leading up to your session. This is not a requirement, but it helps your mind become familiar with the relaxed state you will enter during the session. Even five minutes a day can make a difference. You can find more preparation details in my full preparation guide.

Arriving in Laren

Laren is easy to reach from Amsterdam, Utrecht, and the wider Randstad area. If you are coming by car, parking is simple and free. If you prefer public transport, the bus from Hilversum station takes about ten minutes, and Hilversum is a direct train ride from Amsterdam Centraal.

I always ask clients to set aside the full day. Not because the session itself takes the entire day, but because the hours before and after matter. Arriving rushed or needing to leave quickly for another obligation changes the quality of the experience. The clients who benefit most are the ones who give themselves permission to let the day unfold without a schedule.

There is a pattern I see often: people who arrive early and take a short walk through the town before the session tend to settle in more naturally. Laren is surrounded by forest and heathland, and even ten minutes outside can quiet the mind in a way that supports what comes next.

The Conversation

Every session begins with a conversation that lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This is not an intake form or a checklist. It is a real, unhurried conversation about your life, your story, and the questions you brought. I want to understand who you are, not just what you want to ask.

Clients sometimes tell me afterward that the conversation alone felt like a session. There is something about being listened to without interruption, without judgment, without someone trying to fix you, that already begins to open something up. By the time we move into the relaxation phase, trust has been established, and that trust is what allows the subconscious to come forward.

The Session Itself

You lie down comfortably, close your eyes, and I guide you into a deep state of relaxation. This is the theta brain wave state, the same frequency your brain enters just before sleep and right after waking. It is the state that Dolores Cannon spent over 60 years working with. You are not unconscious. You are aware, but the thinking mind becomes quieter, and the subconscious begins to communicate.

What happens next is different for every person. Some experience vivid scenes. Others feel emotions or physical sensations. Some hear words or receive impressions that are hard to describe in ordinary language. The session typically lasts about two hours, though some go longer if the subconscious has more to share. I follow its lead, not the clock.

One thing I always tell clients beforehand: most people remember their session clearly in the hours right after. Over the following days, some details may soften, which is why you receive a full audio recording of everything.

After the Session

When you open your eyes, most of the work is already done. We spend about thirty minutes reflecting on what came through. Many clients describe feeling lighter, calmer, and clearer than they have in a long time. Some feel emotional. Some feel deeply quiet. All of this is normal.

I recommend staying gentle with yourself for the rest of the day. Drink water, eat something light, avoid heavy social plans. If you are driving back to Amsterdam or elsewhere, give yourself a few minutes in the car before starting the engine. The integration process is already underway, and the subconscious continues to work in the background for days and sometimes weeks after the session. You can read more about what happens in the days following a session.

The Recording

Every session is recorded in full. Clients sometimes tell me that listening to the recording a week later is almost like having a second session. Details they forgot come back. Things the subconscious said that did not make sense at the time suddenly connect to something happening in their life. The recording is not just a souvenir. It is part of the healing process. I have written about what people hear when they listen for the second time, and the patterns I have observed are consistent.

Sessions are available in English and Turkish. If you are considering this step, the fact that you are still reading probably means something in you already knows it is time.
